My client a leader in the Property Sector is currently hiring a Finance/
Operations Analyst to join their growing team
Position Summary
The Operations Analyst is a new role and will be an important role within the growing business.
Reporting to and working closely with the Financial Controller, the Operations Analyst will be a key member of the Finance team.
The Operations Analyst will act as a bridge between Finance and Operations, tailoring systems, and reports to ensure that relevant information is in the hands of the leadership team, to improve the ability of the business and act on strategic business opportunities.
The successful candidate will build a management information system, by integrating information from various accounting and information systems. This will ensure that critical data is not just culled for special onetime use, but accessible regularly.
Key responsibilities of the Operations Analyst:
- Streamlining reports on the key business indicators for the Company
- Engaging with business-unit managers to understand and deliver information requirements, including cost analytics and variance analysis.
- Distilling and analysing large amounts of data, to provide key conclusions and insights, as well as identifying trends & potential issues.[CM1]
- Have a Continuous Improvement mindset, constantly seeking to drive value in the business, based on the management information and individual property information that is available.
- The successful candidate will have a key role in the business, both strategically and operationally, with direct and regular interaction with the Leadership Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitation of the annual and ongoing management review and business planning process, working closely with the Financial Controller.
- Identify challenges and develop new/improved systems/processes to support the growth of Fine Grain
- Developing systems and processes to streamline financial forecasting. This is an integral part of annual business planning and budgeting.
- Partnering with all business units to understand and deliver required information in a clear and accurate manner
- Collating and analysing management information, to drive value in the business and assist decision making
- Gathering and analysing operational data and sharing with the team via internal Dashboard
- Responsible for reporting on the performance and activities of the Company internally and to 3rd party stakeholders.
- Covenant, and other bank reporting.
Person Specification
- Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified), with 2+ years’ industry experience.
- Business consultant experience an advantage
- Experience of analysing data, providing insights and recommendations
- Excellent proficiency with Excel required
- Previous experience in project management roles will be an advantage
- Previous experience of a CRM system (ideally Hubspot) will be an advantage
- Previous experience working in an ISO9001 or similar quality management environment
