Financial Controller (1 year FTC)

CPL are currently working with a local, family run manufacturing business in Newry area to assist in the recruitment of an experienced Financial Controller initially on a temporary basis for a 1-year fixed term contract.
This vacancy presents an excellent opportunity for an experienced financial controller or an experienced accountant who are ready for their first step up into a role of that level of seniority to come on board and provide support across the finance team whilst working closely with senior management.
Roles & Responsibilities;
• Implementation of continuous improvements across the finance function
• Implementation of financial controls
• Cost analysis & KPI reporting
• Preparation and presentation of monthly management pack
• Financial Analysis, Budgeting and forecasting
• Treasury management
• Preparation and submission of grant applications, where applicable
• Ensuring compliance with appropriate regulatory bodies
• Liaising with company auditors
• Other ad-hoc duties as required by the Managing Director
What we are looking for;
• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or minimum 5 years of relevant experience
• Ability to manage a high volume of work in a fast-paced, commercially focused environment
• Proven ability to manage and communicate effectively with all levels within the business
• Good organisational, planning and time management skills
• Strong IT skills
