FP&A Manager
My client, a Galway based, Health-Tech organisation, seeks to hire a new FP&A Manager to join their team. Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for providing financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making across the group. This role will partner closely with various departments including Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations to ensure financial alignment with business goals. This is a permanent role, based in Galway on a hybrid basis, 3 days in office/2 days working from home.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Develop and maintain the annual operating plan and budget for the entire organisation, including revenue forecasting, expense planning, and headcount budgeting.
· Conduct regular variance analysis to identify and explain differences between actual and budgeted results.
· Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management, providing clear and concise financial insights.
· Develop and implement financial reporting processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
· Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business strategies into financial models and forecasts.
· Manage the FP&A team (if applicable) and ensure their professional development.
· Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in FP&A.
QUALIFICATIONS
· 5+ years in an FP&A role within a software company or similar fast-paced environment.
· A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; an MBA is a plus.
· Experience with budgeting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
· Proficiency in financial modelling and forecasting techniques.
· Experience working in a cross-functional environment.
