The Human Resources Director is accountable for the global delivery of Human Compliance and Governance in all Covalen locations and further expansions to additional regions. He/she will have key accountability in managing HR’s relationship with the business and will work with the Leadership Team to drive key HR strategies impacting business performance. The HR Director will review and ensure implementation of all HR processes and procedures. The HR Director will support of the business strategy and goals. The HR Director will be an integral contributor to the business, working within and promoting the Company Values – Customer Focus, Accountability, Respect, Effective Communication and Empowerment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- The HR Director is accountable for the successful delivery of HR and Recruitment Strategy in all Covalen current and future locations.
- He/she is accountable for all aspects of legal compliance within each jurisdiction.
- The HR Director will be accountable for leadership, development and ongoing management of their team, by driving them to achieve the required results within governance, auditing and compliance.
- He/she must ensure department is compliant with all industry standard compliancy frameworks implemented by Covalen and/or its clients e.g., EFQM, ISO etc.
- He / she will be accountable for the creation and delivery of HR projects to drive compliance for the organisation.
- He/she will be a member of the Leadership Team and will work alongside operational and support teams.
- The HR Director will be required to be flexible in their working and adaptable to a range of activities in any given day.
- This position will involve domestic & international travel to company events, conferences, clients and Covalen locations.

Candidate Experience:
- He/she must be able to demonstrate an impressive track record of steering companies to success
- A degree or higher in Human Resource Management desirable
- CIPD accreditation desirable
- 5 + year experience in a senior management position
- Comprehensive knowledge of country specific employment legalisation / labour code
- Be capable of analysing data and recognizing trends and themes, and able to use experience to relate to the real environment.
- Have strong project management skills and an ability to think full cycle about the work to be implemented.
- Excellent communication skills in the English language, both in terms of writing presentations, and insights verbally. An additional language an advantage.
- Proven leadership experience managing teams, coaching and mentoring individuals.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively; must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and execute decision with judgment and discretion.
- Strategic planning skills
- Flexibility to travel on an on-going basis. The HR Director must be available to attend company and clients meeting at all times.
- Full & clean driving licence desirable
