CPL recruitment are assisting our manufacturing client in Dublin north source a maintenance technician, for this role they are seeking options that are time served maintenance fitter and that have at least 4 years’ experience in a medium/high volume Mechanical/Electronic manufacturing environment.
The key outputs and deliverables of the role are as follows:
· Supporting site wide mechanical and electrical maintenance, installation work, problem solving and continuous improvements to both increase and maintain production efficiencies.
- Minimise downtime on equipment, through fast response, effective root cause analysis and good problem-solving techniques.
- Ensuring compliance with all health and safety requirements related to maintenance and repair of production equipment and plant facilities.
- Assist the Maintenance Manager in reviewing existing services, specifications, processes, productivity levels and quality control to secure and increase the efficient use of resources.
- Use the PMS system to plan, record, control, and report on maintenance activities and keep management informed of potential issues.
- Ensure compliancy with Company systems upon commencement of projects i.e. Safe Work Plans, Risk Assessments – ensure they are completed and saved accordingly.
- Provide support and maintenance for mechanical/electrical assembly jigs, fixtures, and purpose-built test equipment.
- To work closely with process and design engineers in the maintenance, repair, manufacture, and design of process tooling and equipment.
- To liaise and work with outside contractors on relevant improvement projects.
- Mentor and coach apprentices in the craft of Mechanical Automation and Maintenance Fitting.

- Conscientious with a high attention to detail and an ability to multitask.
- Experience in use of problem-solving techniques.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical, electrical schematics, and technical manuals.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
- Good “Hands On” & “Can Do” attitude, and ability to work unsupervised in a multifunctional team.
- Good understanding of Electrical & Pneumatic control systems.
- Have experience in Maintenance Management Systems, Building Management Systems & HVAC systems.
- Have experience in using Microsoft office and computer literate.
