My client is a world class medical device consultancy that works with a vast range of clients from start ups to large multinational organisations.
Working for as a medical software consultant in app development, you will be responsible for the design, development of robust and innovative apps for the healthcare and medical industries.
You will need to be a self-starter, able to manage your own time and workload. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to build relationships with colleagues and contractors from across the organisation as well as clients and collaborators.
This role involves working on a range of projects, so it is suited for individuals who enjoy variety and can work flexibly.
Role Responsibilities:
· Support business development activities relevant to their software offering.
· Liaise with the UX/UI group on the user experience.
· Understand and capture clients’ needs and translate them into practical product requirements
· Document software architecture and design
· Participate in their cross-discipline medical device product development projects - e.g. brainstorms, risk assessments, design development, design testing, sales meetings and presentations.

Qualifications and Skills
Essential
· Good degree, 2:1 or above in Computer Science or Electronic engineering
· 3+ years’ experience and track record in developing iOS apps on mobile platforms
· Experience in Swift and Xcode
· Experience in a scripting language such as Python
Desirable
· Familiarity with the software medical development standard IEC 62304 and SaMD
· Experience in wireless connectivity such as Bluetooth Low Energy, Wi-Fi, and NFC
· Experience in Android app development
· Familiarity with Cloud Services e.g. Azure and AWS
· Familiarity working with hardware
