Our client is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their team on a permanent basis. This role is with a well-established practice in Cork.
Key Responsibilities:
• Processing of payrolls for a large number of clients on a weekly, fortnightly and monthly basis
• Use of a number of payroll packages including Thesaurus, Sage Micropay and Collsoft
• Keep records of holiday entitlements for all employees
• Maintaining accurate recordkeeping for all clients
• Timely preparation of payroll submissions to Revenue
• Dealing with day to day queries on client payrolls and related issues
• Other ad hoc payroll related duties as required i.e. Redundancy calculations, NERA inspections, etc.
Key Requirements:
• Strong working knowledge of the Irish Payroll System
• Ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines
• Excellent organisation and communication skills.
• Motivated individual with ability to take initiative and prioritise tasks.
• Ability to process a wide variety of payrolls each with different payslip, payment and informational requirements
• Experience in UK Payroll System an advantage
• Strong numerical skills with excellent accuracy and attention to detail
• Hardworking and flexible, with strong problem-solving skills
• Strong IT skills with working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
Qualifications & Experience:
• Ideally, minimum of 2 years’ experience in high volume payroll position, working in a fast-paced environment.
• A third level diploma/degree or relevant qualification e.g. IPASS, Accounting Technician, etc
