Procurement Officer

We are currently recruiting for a Procurement Officer for a world class, quality focussed manufacturing client based just outside of Ballymena. The purpose of the role is resource suppliers, negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.

The Role

·      Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimise sourcing and supplier selection processes.

·      Identify potential suppliers, conduct supplier evaluations, and negotiate prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings.

·      Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvement within the procurement function.

·      Liasing with other departments e.g., production, operations, and finance to align procurement activities with business needs efficiently.

·      Procure goods, materials, and services in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets.

Personal Specification:

·      2+ years of experience in procurement, or a supply chain role.

·      Strong negotiation and contract management skills

·      Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

·      Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Packages.

·      Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
