Fantastic long term contract opportunity available for an experienced Programme Manager to lead my clients portfolio of projects within large scale PMO enterprise within heavily regulated environment in the banking sector. Projects include delivery across risk, regulatory, business change, transformation, process improvement, PMO set up, leading projects through a tender process from initiation to sign off at exec level within public procurement guidelines and rules.
Skills required
• 10 years’ experience working in a project environment with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in leading Programmes from a business change, non IT perspective.
• Proven track record in financial services, professional services and public sector environments.
• Project Management and Change Management qualifications PMI, Prince II, PROSCI.
• Experience in leading client–side Programmes with responsibility for delivery of all constituent change initiatives/projects of the Programme and successful transitioning outputs into operational use and successful business outcomes.
• Extensive experience of operating within a project/programme management life-cycle methodology with associated processes and governance.
• Experience of managing projects/programmes within an enterprise PMO environment.
• Understanding and experience of applying project, programme and change management models, methodologies and techniques – included earned value analysis and management (EVM) techniques.
• Strong information gathering, judgement and decision making skills in a complex, multi-dimensional Programme.
• Extensive experience and skills in managing third parties to deliver Programme components within a Public Sector Procurement environment.
• Strategic focus with ability to develop pragmatic solutions.
• Ability and willingness to constructively challenge at all levels within the organisation.
• Strong influencing skills particularly at senior management levels and ability to build win-win consensus.
• Self-starter, seeking to manage ambiguity driving clarity, certainty and commitment.
• Manage Programme issues, risks and dependencies, finding solutions which maintain the integrity of Programme scope, plan and budget.
• Ability to build an effective Programme structure and decision-making processes which recognise but are not impeded by BAU hierarchies and practices.
• Ability to build a strong professional relationship with the Programme Sponsor and Stakeholders, based on trust, integrity and demonstrated professional competency.
• Apply excellent all-round communications skills.
• Apply strong team, coalition and collaboration building skills.
• Have the ability to lead the Programme and constituent change initiatives/projects.
• Develop a strong understanding of my clients Project and Programme management methodologies and processes, IT, Procurement and Financial Management processes , Investment approvals processes and governance.
