CPL recruitment are delighted to assist our client source an R & D Mechanical Engineer for a permanent position. You would be working as part of a wider team within a research innovation center to support product development and new product introductions. I am looking to speak with options that have 2-5 years experience within manufacturing or design of mechanical type components, project management experience an advantage. Ideally someone with good academic/technical/hands on experience.
The hiring manager is seeking a level 8 in mechanical engineering and extrusion component manufacturing would be highly desirable but not essential by any means.
Day to day activities.
· Project manage new developments and product improvements
· Record and detail development data including reports, drawings
· Analyse and review test data to optimise design and product performance
· Work effectively in conjunction with other engineers and technicians
· Liaise with other department functions including technical, engineering, operations
· Report and present updates on project status and timelines
· Operate in compliance with ISO 37301, 9001
· Follow the appropriate EN standards and country codes for product development
