Overview
As the Regulatory Business Partner you will contribute to and influence the strategic direction of the company’s regulatory and policy engagement as we mobilise to deliver on our ambitious strategy.
In this role you will:
- Act as primary point of contact for regulatory relationship management for a business function/(s) and provide clear, concise and timely regulatory advice to that business function/(s) and to senior management on regulatory interactions.
- Provide regulatory support to specific business functions in respect of relevant regulatory issues.
- Ace as Group Regulation lead for specific complex regulatory and commercial deliverables and act as a point of contact with the Regulatory Authorities in respect of same.
- Become an expert in the forthcoming and current priorities of the business function, analysing the regulatory aspects and ensuring timely and quality advice.
- Work to ensure key compliance objectives are delivered on time and are consistent with regulatory requirements.
- Develop key internal and external stakeholder relationships to support delivery.
- Provide strategic input to the business function including consideration of regulatory compliance and risk aspects.
- Promote awareness and understanding of the regulatory environment the Group operates in.
- In collaboration with Group Regulation ensure alignment with the Group’s regulatory strategy and priorities.
About You
- A degree in business, engineering, economics or a closely related discipline
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role, in a multidisciplinary environment
- Ability to guide, persuade and influence others through developed skills of communication and diplomacy, and excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Ability to draft documentation in a rational, evidence-based, clear and concise manner.
- Excellent qualitative and quantitative analytical abilities, coupled with the ability to make reasoned judgements based on available information.
- Knowledge of and experience of working in a regulated utility/ regulator is desirable.
