My client is long established and widely recognised as one of midlands leading Building Companies. Our experience is wide and varied ranging from residential developments, retail fit outs, industrial and commercial developments, educational facilities, HSE projects to IPS remand institutional works.
Due to expansion we look to hire an experience Site Manager to join the team permanently. This is an office-based position, however some travelling on sites might be required occasionally.
As Site Manager you will have overall responsibility for a specific site. You are the construction leader on the ground who is responsible for managing the overall day to day supervision of the construction site. You will monitor the preparation of the site prior to project launch and oversee the safe and efficient operation of the site throughout the construction phases.
Responsibilities:
· Identify issues of constructability during preconstruction
· Ensure on-time schedule delivery and exceed client satisfaction throughout the project.
· Manage day-to-day operations in the field to ensure construction progress and quality delivery.
· Work closely with Project Manager(s) to maintain and update project schedules as needed.
· Working closely with the onsite team including subcontractors, engineers, management, and more coordinating and managing all activities onsite.
· Oversee snagging list to drive completion in a timely manner.
· Maintaining quality control procedures at all time
Your experience:
· 5 + years’ experience as a Site Manager
· Carpentry background is essential for this role.
· Experience overseeing and leading diverse teams of sub-contractors.
· Significant experience with commercial interior fitouts
· Computer proficiency
