Cpl Healthcare in partnership with our client based in Guernsey are seeking an experienced Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to join their Team on the beautiful Island of Guernsey, in the Channel Islands.
JOB SUMMARY:
• To work within a team of Speech and Language Therapists to provide a multi-agency approach to the identification and support for young people with speech, language and communication needs (SLCN) across the Bailiwick of Guernsey and Alderney.
• To assess the needs for, develop and implement speech and language therapy treatment to children within the Bailiwick of Guernsey and Alderney presenting with a wide range of speech, language, and communication difficulties including the need for Augmentative and Alternative Communication systems.
• To provide advice to others regarding the management and care of children with communication difficulties.
• To provide a service working closely with parents/carers; pre-schools, school age and other relevant professionals.
• To provide training to staff as relevant to the post e.g. specific in-service training across the setting to a variety of audiences (parents, colleagues, school settings).
• To provide agreed supervision and peer review support to less experienced colleagues and students, including second opinions when necessary.
• To be accountable for own professional actions and recognise professional boundaries, seeking advice from senior colleagues as appropriate
Please note; Guernsey has adopted the AfC banding system, but have applied their own salary scale. The Guernsey Band 6 salary range from 1st Jan is £41,544 - £56,090 plus an annual bonus of £1,605 higher penalty rates; 36% evening/Saturday and 72% Sunday/BH.
Annual leave starts at 36 days up to 42 days with full credit for NHS service for annual leave and sick leave.

Requirements
- Hold a recognised SLT Qualification at degree level
- Current registration or pending registraion with the RCSLT and HCPC Registration
