On behalf of our Multinational Client in Clonmel, Co Tipperary we are currently sourcing a Supplier Manufacturing Engineer to join their Team.
Key Responsibilities
I. Establishes incoming inspection and test procedures and provides technical support to manufacturing to resolve material or supplier related issues.
2. Develops new supply sources with purchasing team and qualifies components to specified parameters.
3. Assess potential new suppliers for technical, quality and manufacturing capabilities. Provides technical support for the introduction of components from a new supplier.
4. Identifies and manages projects to reduce material costs or reduce material supply risks.
5. Works with receiving inspection group to improve inspection processes where applicable.
6. Identifies and leads process improvement teams relating to component usage or design.
Education and Job Skills
I. (Experience/Education) National Framework of Qualifications NFQ level 7 qualification in a relevant discipline and 4+ years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
2. (Technical/Business Knowledge (Job Skills)) Working technical knowledge and application of concepts, practices and
procedures. General understanding of business unit/group function. Will perform this job in a quality system environment. Failure to adequately perform tasks can result in non-compliance with governmental regulations.
3. (Cognitive Skills) Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Has a broad knowledge of technical alternatives and an understanding of their impact on the systems environment.
