Role Title: Business Analyst
Description of Business Unit
Group Internal Audit is on a journey towards a digital future, where automation, technology and data will act as key enablers to both what we do, and how we do it. The Data Science & Digital function within GIA is responsible for the development and execution of GIA`s digital strategy and digital transformation roadmap (DTR), to enable GIA to embed technology, data science and automation techniques at the heart of its operating model.
Purpose of the Role
This is an individual contributor role to drive the definition, documentation and management of requirements for the digital strategy, and support the wider digital change management agenda.
You'll act as the translator of business requirements to data science and digital demand and be a key interface and partner between technical and business end users. You will partner with stakeholders across the function to drive the definition and documentation of data science and digital requirements, to assist GIA in reaching its digital future. You will also support the data science and digital team through backlog management, user story creation and act as the scrum master for the team. You will manage stakeholder engagement for the data science and digital function, and support the wider digital change management process, including communications, user acceptance testing co-ordination etc.
Key Accountabilities
· Identify & document business requirements for data science and digital solutions across GIA
· Manage the hand-over of requirements to delivery teams and requirements clarifications throughout delivery lifecycle
· Prepare key delivery lifecycle artefacts, such as user stories, functional specifications, data requirements documents and test scripts
· Support the wider data science and digital change management agenda, including stakeholder communications, backlog refinement, sprint planning and UAT co-ordination
· Contribute towards the Digital strategy and the wider Data Science & Digital function through the identification of new value add data exploitation and continuous improvement opportunities
· Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams within Group Internal Audit to identify opportunities to use data science and digital techniques to support assurance and risk management across the organisation
· Contribute to a creative culture centred on an agile environment, value prioritisation and design thinking

Essential Skills & Experience
· Demonstratable experience in working as a business analyst supporting change management across multiple delivery workstreams
· Demonstrable experience in defining and documenting actionable end user requirements
· Experience creating high quality technical and business artefacts, such as user stories, technical requirement documents and test scripts
· Experience managing a multi-workstream requirements backlog, and supporting key Agile project management activities (e.g. sprint planning, acting as scrum master)
· High level of discretion, capable of dealing with highly confidential and sensitive information
· Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to work on own initiative
Desirable Qualifications, Skills & Experience
· Prior experience in data science and digital transformation would be advantageous but not essential
