About the Land Development Agency
The Land Development Agency (LDA) is a key Government Commercial Semi-State Body that delivers social and affordable housing on State and other lands. It is overseen by an independent board of directors and the Government has committed to providing the LDA with €1.25 billion of equity which is drawn as required.
The LDA has commenced construction on various state sourced lands and is currently working on direct delivery projects that can deliver over 5,000 homes. It is also delivering affordable housing by working with the private sector on an initiative called ‘Project Tosaigh’, which will yield a further 5,000 homes.
Role Purpose
Reporting to the Insurance Lead, this role would suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced dynamic environment, is comfortable managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines, with strong communications skills. This is a great opportunity to work in a new agency, using your creativity and administrative flair to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our processes.
Key Responsibilities
· Set up and maintenance of Insurance Team filing system.
· Manage communications in and out of the insurance inbox.
· Responsible for the administration of purchase orders and invoices to ensure compliance with LDA’s policies and procedures.
· Assist external stakeholders with queries to be referred back to the Insurance Team.
· Assist in the creation of insurance documents and reports using Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
· Preparing weekly/monthly reports for internal meetings and project reviews.
· Take minutes at meetings as directed by the Insurance Lead.
· Identifying efficiencies in department processes and implementing same.
· Building and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
· Other duties as may be required based on the evolving operational requirements of the LDA.
Person Specification
· Two years’ experience in an administration role.
· Knowledge and/or experience in the insurance industry would be an advantage.
· Solutions and results focused.
· Excellent attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
· Excellent communication skills – written and verbal in both day-to-day work as well as formal briefings.
· Ability to work well within a team environment.
