Learning & Organisational Development Specialist – Co. Mayo
I am currently recruiting for a Learning & Organisational Development Specialist on behalf of my client based in Co. Mayo who are a manufacturing and engineering organisation. 4 days on site and 1 day remote.
This is a high-impact, end-to-end L&D role for someone who wants real ownership, not just delivery. You’ll be the go-to person for leadership and organisational development at a growing European manufacturing site, working closely with senior leaders, people managers, and cross-functional teams.
The business is scaling, leadership capability is a priority, and there’s a genuine appetite for structured, standardised, high-quality learning. This role plays a central part in shaping that. What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll own the full learning lifecycle across the European operation, with a strong emphasis on leadership development.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and delivering leadership development programmes across all levels including supervisors, managers, and senior leaders.
- Leading the full training cycle independently: needs analysis, design, development, delivery, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
- Working closely with production, operations, and people managers to identify capability gaps and future training needs as the business expands.
- Delivering engaging in-person and virtual training for onsite teams and remote employees across Europe.
- Developing, maintaining, and standardising learning content within the LMS to ensure consistency and quality.
- Supporting change initiatives by ensuring leaders and teams are equipped to adopt new ways of working.
- Coaching and supporting managers and high-potential employees to improve leadership effectiveness.
- Capturing and transferring knowledge, including supporting less-experienced colleagues and documenting best practice.
- Partnering cross-functionally with HR and the wider business to embed a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
Essential experience:
- Proven experience designing and delivering leadership training across multiple levels.
- Hands-on experience owning the end-to-end L&D cycle.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and confidence working with senior leaders.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, operational or manufacturing-style environment (regulated or technical environments are a strong advantage).
- Comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.
