Immediate requirement for an experienced, IT Business Analyst to support my client as they embark on a new finance system implementation. My client requires a positive and proactive BA, to problem solve, plan and document finance requirements. You will act as the intermediary between my clients Finance stakeholders and ICT.
You will develop a deep understanding of the financial processes and technology to help stakeholders’ partners achieve their desired outcomes in line with ICT policies and procedures. You will also be responsible for testing and quality control of ICT deliverables. You will work collaboratively with Finance delivery teams to scope, plan, implement, and test solutions aligned to requirements. You will report to the ICT Digital Enterprise Manager.
Skills required
· At least 7 years commercial experience as an IT Business Analyst.
· Proven track record supporting new finance implementations and upgrades within public sector, semi state, utilities, financial services or professional services environments.
· Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
· Capture user issues, priorities, analyse and recommend possible solutions, test solutions, and drive closure including design of UAT test cases.
· Previously worked on a delivery of a finance or ERP system as a Business Analyst.
· Experience in working with Dynamics 365 Business Central.
· Strong organisational and time management/planning skills and the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
· Ability to work with third party suppliers.
· Experience with agile development methodologies and agile planning tools such as Azure DevOps.
· Knowledge or experience of the Integra Finance System would be an advantage.
· Accounting or Finance qualification, knowledge and experience in mapping financial processes would be advantageous.
Role
· Obtain a deep understanding of relevant financial area to be able to recommend solutions and build high-quality requirements.
· Use a variety of techniques to understand business requirements, such as interviews, workshops, surveys, site visits, and storyboards.
· Shape business requirements by making recommendations and suggesting alternatives to proposed solutions.
· Translate conceptual user requirements into clear, detailed functional requirements.
· Document data migration requirements between the legacy system and Business Central
· Work with finance and delivery teams to prioritize requirements.
· Create artifacts as appropriate, including business case documentation, scope documentation, and process flows.
· Review delivery team output to ensure requirements are correctly interpreted; define and execute test cases.
· Document Integration requirements between Business Central and other systems.
· Define and execute test strategies for each financial area, plans and scripts for each.
· Contribute to improving quality software deliveries.
· Collaborate with multiple teams across the business and Development Life Cycle.
