Last night the Cpl IT team won 'Private sector project of the year' at theTech Excellence Awards.
'This award recognises an outstanding application of enterprise-level technology in the private sector. May be awarded for a distinct project or projects, or for overall excellence in demonstrating the part which IT plays in delivering the organisation's objectives.'
Keith O'Connor describes the Cpl project that won'�Our pitch wasn't based on one individual system; instead we decided to wrap all of the various systems under one title :CAMS(Cpl agency management system). Whereas the systems themselves are technically different, the goal is the same. We simply capture and utilise the information in different ways, depending on the type of client. Combined with some impressive stats, it made for a winning entry.
There were 147 entries in the category, which was shortlisted down to 6. These included Vodafone with Ryanair, Sonalake, Storm Technology, Unity Technology Solutions and Irish Life.
