Today the 21st of May marks World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development. The day provides us with an opportunity to deepen our understanding of the values of cultural diversity.

'At Cpl, we are delighted to recognise World Day for Cultural Diversity, we have over 50 different nationalities within the Cpl Group and this day allows us to deepen our understanding of the values of cultural diversity, not just in the workplace but across all our communities.

We're proud to have people from different backgrounds, regardless of race, religion and culture, on our team and know that when we recruit and retain a diverse pool of people, it enriches our organisation. Bringing benefits to both the company as well at to our employees.

To highlight the different cultures across Cpl today we are asking all our people to share with us a picture that captures their culture. This can be anything from a particular location, food or a picture with their family.' Sharon Vize, HR Director

For all businesses, cultural diversity is important and can have huge benefits for your organisation.

'Embracing a multicultural society and workforce brings a huge richness of diversity and benefits to a business. Multicultural day is an important and great way to enrich cultural awareness, to celebrate all of our different nationalities & ethnic backgrounds, and to strengthen our appreciation of the world.' Siobhan O'Shea, Head of D&I at The Future of Work Institute
