Site Manager role
Site manager wanted for leading Agri Business in East Cork. Full time role, salary negotiable.
Core responsibilities associated with this role:
People management: Communicate regularly with all employees, both individually and as a group. Manage the day to day operations of the site and promote good industrial relations where people are motivated and valued. Identify training and development needs. Develop and Lead a high calibre motivated team across the whole site.
Sales Performance: Monitor and analyse the sales performance of the site against budget and lead any initiative that is needed to achieve budgeted sales and margin.
Customer Focus: Lead and Manage a strong customer centric approach to our customer base to deliver exceptional customer service. Follow up with customer queries, orders and scheduled deliveries. Coach and support all team members to achieve exceptional standards of customer service and satisfaction across the site. Maximise employees knowledge, skills and capability.
Cost and Stock Management: Monitor and implement controls relating to overhead expenditure, wages, stocks systems and procedures. Liaise with purchasing on pricing, availability and product update.
Retail Operations: Ensure Retail standards are maintained within the Retail outlet through weekly meetings and auditing with key store personnel.
Grain Operations: Devise, plan and implement with the site grain operations team a harvest plan in conjunction with all stakeholders including the Head of Grain and Milling at Lombardstown Mill. Oversee the grain operations on site including the intake, treatment, and drying at harvest time to optimise the throughput of the milling and grain operations. Manage the delivery of grain from the site as well as the business to business customers. Communicate regularly with all departments on the production and management of the milling operations
Health and Safety Management: Ensure environmental controls and legislative compliance are maintained across the entire site. Direct and supervise all safety initiates. Ensure all personnel are adequately trained in all health and safety operations. Lead a safety-first culture, improve & maintain site safety in line with best practice, quickly identify & resolve safety hazards & observe site safety governance.
Site Maintenance and Continuous improvement: Ensure a scheduled maintenance plan is adhered to. Monitor and review the operation of plant equipment and systems to minimise unplanned downtime, anticipate and solve problems in a timely manner and identify opportunities for improvement. Instill a continuous improvement culture across the site.
