My client an established company in Cork City is looking for an experienced accounts assistant to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with the Finance Manager and add to an expanding organization.
Responsibilities:
- Record all bank transactions and perform regular bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and deliver weekly and monthly financial reports for the Operations Manager and Finance Team.
- Process purchase and sales invoices, and manage the timely payment of monthly invoices.
- Manage intercompany invoicing, and reconcile debtor and creditor balances.
- Prepare quarterly management accounts, including supporting analysis and commentary, and resolve any related queries.
- Provide monthly variance analysis against actuals.
- Contribute to the preparation of annual financial statements and assist with external audits as required.
- Prepare and submit VAT and PAYE returns in compliance with regulatory deadlines.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of accounts experience.
- Strong communicator with a proven track record of engaging effectively with senior leadership.
- Adaptable and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Skilled in financial analysis with the ability to offer strategic insights and recommendations.
