Our Client, an Educational Institution is looking to hire an Administrative Assistant on a temporary Full-Time contract for 3 months.
Role Summary:
Provide support to the Accommodation Advisors in the daily operations of the Accommodation Advisory Service.
Deliver high-quality customer service by proactively addressing and advising a range of stakeholders including students, parents, accommodation providers, local communities, and the public via phone, email, and in person.
Offer guidance to students on available accommodation options, search techniques, and their rights and responsibilities as tenants.
Assist in sourcing accommodation for students and manage enquiries from potential property providers.
Compile and prepare reports, emails, and other documentation related to accommodation data.
Contribute to the overall support provided by the Student Enquiry Centre.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven track record in delivering high-quality customer service, ideally within the hospitality sector.
- Experience in property management, the hotel industry, and/or sales.
- Demonstrated ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, specialised office environment through relevant work experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time and tasks efficiently.
- Advanced IT proficiency, particularly with the Microsoft Office suite, including:
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft Outlook
- Microsoft Teams
- Microsoft SharePoint
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Experience supporting individuals in distress or sensitive situations.
- Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint (basic knowledge accepted).
- Understanding or experience with Student Pad or similar accommodation management databases.
Key Responsibilities:
· Deliver direct information, guidance, and support to students, ensuring queries are tracked through to resolution and referring them to relevant services and supports as appropriate.
· Liaise with external accommodation providers, assist with listing properties, and maintain the database to ensure data accuracy for weekly reporting.
· Provide cover and support within the Student Enquiry Centre and assist other professional services staff across the Student Support Team as needed.
