Overview
An established accountancy practice in Kerry is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to manage bookkeeping and payroll services for a portfolio of clients. This role requires strong technical skills, practice experience, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records across multiple client accounts
- Process bank reconciliations, invoices, and journals
- Prepare VAT returns and process payroll
- Assist with management accounts and year-end preparation
- Liaise with clients to resolve queries and gather documentation
- Work with cloud accounting software (e.g. Xero, Sage, QuickBooks)
Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience in a practice-based bookkeeping role
- Strong knowledge of Irish VAT, payroll, and bookkeeping standards
- Proficiency in accounting software and Excel
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and communication skills
