MARA (Maritime Area Regulatory Authority) is the regulator of Ireland’s maritime area, and facilitates the work of An Bord Pleanála and the Coastal Local Authorities who provide planning consent for projects in the Maritime Area. Management of this area is inherently a spatial activity.
Your new role
MARA now has a requirement for a suitably qualified Business Analyst deliver a Data and ICT architecture and associated roadmap for the organization. Key system components that this architecture must include:
- Finance and finance integration
- Case Management / Application Management
- Case Management / Compliance and Enforcement.
- Legal Advisory Management
- Revenue Collection
- Assessment Viewer
- The Maritime Authorisations Database and Marine Planning Register
What you’ll need
- 7+ years exp developing roadmaps for similar government bodies. Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and managing Geospatial data experience is desired but not essential
- Ability to lead the review and carry out analysis of the organisation’s business intentions, services, processes and information needs to identify changes that lead to business improvements.
- Ability to establish the contribution that technology can make to business objectives, defining strategies, validating and justifying business needs.
- Experience of conducting feasibility studies, producing high-level business models
- Experience of preparing detailed specifications and overseeing development and implementation of solutions, taking into account the implications of change on the organisation and all stakeholders.
