CapEx Planner Scheduler
This position is responsible for project planning and control of capital projects at the Industrial Operations and Product Supply (IOPS) Facility in Raheen.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with the ability to tailor communication based on the audience.
- Drive positive engagement and interaction with cross-functional teams for schedule development and forward planning.
- Create and deliver EPS and WBS layouts covering EPCM, commissioning, qualification, and startup (SU) of GMP production areas and systems.
- Plan, schedule, track, and control several small capital projects running concurrently.
- Develop Level 3, 4, and 5 detailed schedules and implement planning, reporting, and analytical tools using Primavera P6.
- Level load and resource plan work fronts effectively.
- Analyze contractor schedules and develop a detailed master schedule incorporating multiple schedule inputs for large capital projects.
- Apply Critical Path Method (CPM) planning and forecasting techniques.
- Create and maintain a comprehensive Project Risk Register.
- Chair weekly planning and scheduling meetings, including roundtable workshop planning.
- Identify schedule issues and constraints and propose potential mitigation strategies.
- Accurately track, control, and report plan vs. actual using earned value analysis, S-curves, histograms, and customized graphical updates (e.g., PowerPoint).
- Establish KPIs and routinely track and report performance in the assigned function.
- Ensure compliance with all current IOPS cGxPs (e.g., Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Documentation Practices).
- Lead by example and share knowledge within the team, promoting a One IOPS mindset.
- Maintain the physical condition and environment of assigned areas and equipment; uphold Safe, Clean, and Compliant (SCC) standards.
- Stay current on IOPS plant and department SOPs and required training; maintain an up-to-date training file.
- Perform additional projects as assigned by the supervisor.
Education and Experience Requirements
- BS/BA in an engineering or scientific field, or a relevant trade qualification, with 5+ years of experience in a similar role. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Proficient in Oracle Primavera.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project.
