Cloud Engineer – AWS & Azure
Location: Dublin (Hybrid – 2 days onsite)

We’re partnering with a leading tech-driven organization seeking a Cloud Engineer to join their growing infrastructure and DevOps team. This role offers the opportunity to design, build, and optimize multi-cloud environments while working alongside highly skilled engineers specializing in DevOps, SRE, and cloud operations.

Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure.
- Manage and optimize AWS services, supporting deployment and ongoing operations.
- Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (especially Terraform) to automate and streamline infrastructure management.
- Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to ensure smooth CI/CD processes and reliable cloud delivery.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and security.
- Plan and execute cloud migration projects, ensuring minimal downtime and strong data integrity.
- Implement and maintain cloud security best practices, including WAF, Firewalls, ACLs, NACLs, certificates, and DDoS protection.
- Oversee deployments and release management to ensure efficient and controlled rollouts.
Requirements:
- 5+ years in cloud engineering, SRE, or similar roles.
- Deep expertise in AWS services and strong understanding of Azure cloud environments.
- Solid knowledge of networking fundamentals (security groups, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, packet flows).
- Strong Linux administration, troubleshooting, and scripting skills.
- Experience with load balancing solutions for high availability and scalability.
- Hands-on experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proven success leading or contributing to cloud migration initiatives.
- Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills with the ability to work independently or cross-functionally.
Nice to Have
- AWS and Azure certifications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- Experience with configuration management tools (Salt, Ansible, Chef).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001).
