About the Role
You’ll be at the heart of a dynamic Corporate Affairs team, supporting the delivery of key public engagement and communication initiatives for vital energy infrastructure projects. From working with local communities to liaising with stakeholders, media and elected officials—you’ll help ensure our projects are understood, supported, and delivered with transparency and integrity.
Your role will include:
- Supporting the planning and delivery of community and stakeholder engagement campaigns
- Managing communications across digital platforms, media relations, public affairs, and local events
- Collaborating with grid infrastructure teams, external consultants, and public representatives
- Helping shape and improve how we engage with communities, councils, and developers
- Providing out-of-hours communications support when needed
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- 1+ years’ experience in a communications, engagement or related role
- A degree in communications, planning, journalism, politics—or 3 years’ relevant experience
- Proven experience creating compelling communications for projects or public initiatives
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and team spirit
- A genuine passion for community engagement
- Basic understanding of energy and infrastructure
- A full, clean driving licence
Desirable:
- Experience organising community or stakeholder events
- Knowledge of the local planning system and local government
- Experience working directly with local communities
