Clinical Compliance & Safety Coordinator

A leading specialist mental health hospital is seeking a Clinical Compliance & Safety Coordinator to join their Quality & Governance team. This role supports the Head of Quality, Risk, Compliance & Patient Administration in ensuring high standards of regulatory compliance, patient safety, and quality improvement across clinical and administrative areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with the Mental Health Act 2001 and support the coordination of Mental Health Tribunals.
- Assist with audits, inspections, and policy updates to meet regulatory and quality standards.
- Monitor and manage incident reports, risk assessments, and safety registers.
- Support the implementation of quality improvement plans across clinical and non-clinical teams.
- Help maintain and organise medical records and assist with the rollout of the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system.
- Provide administrative support across compliance, quality, and patient feedback areas.
- Liaise with clinical teams, regulatory bodies, and external representatives to ensure best practices.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a healthcare or clinical setting with a focus on compliance, administration, or quality/risk.
- Familiarity with the Mental Health Act 2001 and healthcare regulations.
- Strong understanding of incident reporting systems, document control, and medical record standards.
- Excellent communication, IT, and coordination skills (QPulse, EPRs, Microsoft Office).
Desirable:
- Experience in a mental health service or with the Mental Health Commission.
- Qualification in a health-related or quality/governance field.
- Experience delivering staff training or supporting patient safety initiatives.
