Are you deeply connected to U.S. culture, news, and social conversations? We’re looking for a Content Specialist with strong knowledge of the United States to help identify and elevate the most relevant, engaging, and timely content on a leading text-based social media platform. This is a remote evening shift role (00:00–08:00) with on-site training in Dublin, perfect for someone who thrives in digital spaces and has a sharp editorial eye on U.S. trends and current affairs.
What You’ll Do:
- Curate and contextualize trending topics and conversations focused on the U.S. market—including news, culture, politics, and entertainment.
- Review user-generated content from a variety of sources including public figures, influencers, publishers, and creators.
- Apply editorial judgment and platform guidelines consistently across high volumes of content.
- Flag edge cases or ambiguous topics and collaborate with internal teams to resolve them.
- Use internal tools and social listening platforms to support content discovery.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in editorial processes and user experience.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong knowledge of and connection to the U.S. market—you should be fully comfortable discussing American news, politics, entertainment, and cultural trends.
- Proven experience in social media, digital media, content creation, journalism, or editorial roles.
- Excellent communication skills, with impeccable spelling, grammar, and editorial judgment.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and user-generated content environments, especially text-based conversation networks.
- Experience with social discovery or listening tools.
- Third-level degree (Bachelor's or higher) in Marketing, Journalism, Communication, or a related field is essential.
