Credit Controller - Hybrid policy, Dublin 15
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Credit Controller to join a leading Security & Technology company. Reporting directly to Financial Controller, they will also liaise accordingly with management and any other relevant persons to achieve their duties on a day-to-day basis.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and control a portfolio of customer accounts.
- Maintain the standing data within the sales ledger system.
- Communicate directly with customers via telephone, email and post to ensure that they pay to agreed contractual credit terms.
- Ensure that cash targets are achieved or exceeded.
- Adopt a zero-tolerance approach to 90-day debt and minimise 60 day debt at all times.
- Work with management to ensure that invoicing errors are corrected in a timely manner and work to ensure that the cause of the errors is identified, and corrective action is taken to prevent reoccurrence.
- Raise and send sales invoices and statements.
- Raise and send credit notes.
- Debt chasing via telephone and email.
- Respond to customer queries and take responsibility for their resolution.
- Keep management informed of potential debtor issues.
- Provide cover for colleagues during absence for holidays and sickness.
- Any other Ad hoc projects as requested by the Financial Controller
Requirements:
- Experience in an accounts department
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel and Word
- Good communication skills as you will be liaising with internal and external personnel.
- Ability to work under pressure within a team environment.
- Ability to meet deadlines and targets.
- Self-motivated individual with drive, enthusiasm and commitment
- Any other Ad hoc projects as requested by the Financial Controller
