Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer & Energy Sustainability Lead on an initial 12 months contract to take ownership of the site’s energy management and sustainability strategy while serving as the site’s subject matter expert (SME) for electrical engineering.
In this dual-capacity role, you will lead initiatives that drive energy efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and embed sustainability practices across the site. You will also deliver expert electrical engineering support for system upgrades, preventive maintenance projects, and energy optimization efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Energy & Sustainability Leadership
- Lead and continuously improve the GENIUS energy management program.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on site energy consumption and sustainability metrics.
- Develop and implement energy efficiency projects aligned with corporate goals.
- Promote site-wide energy awareness through training, communication, and cultural initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with energy regulations and corporate sustainability policies.
Electrical Engineering Support
- Lead electrical design reviews, troubleshooting, and safety compliance.
- Support electrical project upgrades, modifications, and preventive maintenance builds.
- Optimize electrical systems for efficiency, safety, and reliability.
- Maintain electrical documentation and coordinate with vendors and contractors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Management, or related discipline.
- 2+ years’ experience in both electrical engineering and energy management within an industrial setting.
- Proficiency in energy data analysis and electrical system design.
- Strong knowledge of energy management systems, sustainability frameworks, and relevant regulations.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
