About the Role:
We’re looking for an experienced Engineering Technician to join our client’s team, supporting assembly operations and maintenance activities across moulding, tooling, and automation for their pharmaceutical site in Sligo. You’ll play a key role in maintaining equipment, troubleshooting technical issues, and driving continuous improvement in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support daily operations in assembly, tooling, and moulding in line with safety and quality standards.
- Perform equipment maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting (mechanical, electrical, and control systems).
- Collaborate with operations to meet production targets and optimize performance.
- Document all work per cGMP and support validation, commissioning, and improvement projects.
- Fabricate and install mechanical/electrical parts for repairs and upgrades.
- Use Maximo system for maintenance tracking.
- Contribute to site-wide continuous improvement and EHS programs.
Requirements:
- Leaving Cert, Senior Level Trade Certificate, or FETAC Level 6 (or willingness to obtain).
- 3+ years’ experience in high-precision manufacturing, ideally in a regulated environment.
- Technical experience in mould tooling, automation, and/or electrical systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and computer-interfaced equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail, integrity, and communication skills.
