Finance Business Partner

Finance Business Partner – Glasgow/Hybrid – 6-month contract

On behalf of our public sector client, we are recruiting a Finance Business Partner to join a high-performing finance team providing essential financial insight and support across the organisation. This is a key role in driving effective financial planning, performance monitoring, and stakeholder engagement.

Duties:

·      Provide financial support and analysis to business units

·      Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and period-end reporting

·      Prepare accruals and adjustments, and ensure account validation

·      Ensure compliance with financial governance and internal controls

·      Conduct financial analysis to identify risks and opportunities

·      Support investment appraisals and cost modelling

·      Identify, assess, and manage commercial risks

Essential Skills & Experience

·      Part-qualified or working towards a professional accounting qualification (CIMA / ACCA)

·      Strong Excel and financial data analysis skills

·      Solid understanding of financial control, risk, and compliance

·      Excellent communication and influencing skills

·      Experience in financial planning and reporting

·      Ability to translate complex accounting principles into practical insight

·      Proven stakeholder engagement and business partnering experience

Desirable

·      Fully qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ICAEW)

·      Experience working in complex or fast-paced financial environments

·      Familiarity with project management principles

·      Degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, or Business Management

·      Experience with Oracle-based systems and Power BI
