Job Title: Group Head of Sales and Marketing
Reporting To: CEO
Job Purpose
As a part of the Senior Leadership Team, this role will be responsible for:
1. Overseeing Sales and Marketing of this Hotel Group and all Hotel brands within the group across Ireland and Spain.
2. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales and marketing plans to achieve revenue targets and grow market share.
This role requires a strong blend of leadership, creativity, and analytical skills to effectively promote the Hotel Group.
Key Responsibilities
Sales
Responsible for the development and implementation of sales strategies for growth by:
- Develop, implement and monitor the annual Sales and Marketing plan for the group
- Leading a team of sales and marketing professionals to achieve revenue and occupancy targets
- Collaborating closely with the hotel's management team to ensure an exceptional guest experience
- Leverage the Hotels brand, and work with each hotel to maximise all revenue opportunities from existing accounts through strategic planning and effective account management
- Work with all the internal teams at Group level and GM’s to deliver budgeted room sales in key segments
- Identifying market threats, pressures and opportunities, ensuring sales activities reflect these, and advising senior management of this market information
- Promote and represent the hotel group professionally and effectively in the domestic and overseas markets through a range of B2B and B2C events
Marketing
To promote the groups identity in all markets by:
- Marketing Plan to design and direct the implementation of online and offline marketing initiatives and activities to support the hotel revenue objectives, in all rooms and segments, and in all outlets. Track return on investment vs KPIs and amend activity to meet the groups budgetary objectives
- Hotel website strategy and management of the website function and directing the marketing team to manage the Groups brand website content, e-marketing, SEO, and PPC strategy
- Manage and enhance the social media strategy for the group
- Developing and executing innovative marketing strategies to position the hotels as premier destinations for both leisure and business guests
- Work with each hotel to enhance each hotel brand within our group in a consistent manner
- Lead the management and planning of offline marketing & PR opportunities (self-generated in-house and agency) and projects, as per business requirements.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Head of Sales & Marketing in the hospitality industry or customer/guest facing industry, preferably in a group role
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Solid understanding of market research and data analysis methods
- Proficiency in CRM software and digital marketing tools
- Creative thinker with strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
