Head of Sales & Marketing
Position overview
The management team and Board at .ie have identified the opportunity to create new data driven services that will help keep the Irish internet secure, trusted, and open. To develop, launch and manage these products we are seeking an experienced commercially driven sales & marketing professional.
Reporting to the CEO, you will manage the marketing team (3 resources) and work closely with the data team to craft and execute the go‑to‑market strategy for these new products while developing the sales and marketing functions for the organisation to exploit the headroom for growth in the existing business.

The organisation is designated as an Operator of Essential Services (OES) under the EU Cyber directive, and we fulfil a pivotal role in maintaining the security and reliability of part of Ireland’s digital infrastructure.
Office location
Based in Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin, the .ie team of twenty-six staff work in a modern office which is opposite the Dart station and bus stops. The company operate a hybrid working environment which is office based on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays with the flexibility to work from home on Mondays & Fridays.
Job responsibilities:
- Product development – you will lead the product development for this new SAAS B2B model, this will include collaborating closely with company specialists in marketing and data analytics plus external stakeholders to size market opportunities and shape the roadmap for the new and existing .ie products.
- Sales & Business development activities will include engaging with key stakeholders to cultivate relationships with targeted leads, while identifying opportunities for selling, upselling, and cross selling the organisations cyber security data analytics services into current and new channels.
- Lead and execute the marketing strategy for these new data driven services, driving high-quality marketing campaigns focused on target audiences in tech, cyber security, hosting service providers and web developers.
- Full P&L ownership for these new data driven services, which will include setting quarterly targets, pricing strategy and full forecasting and presenting updates on this new revenue stream to the Board.
- Expand the existing business and grow the .ie brand awareness by representation at industry events staying up to date with all industry developments and building strong relationships across the key industry stakeholders (government, regulators, industry associations, key suppliers, focus groups and other parties).
Required Qualifications/ Experience & Skills:
Candidates should have a degree or professional qualification from a business, marketing or IT discipline with extensive experience operating at a senior level (circa 10 yrs).
The ideal candidate must also have:
· Proven hands-on leadership experience with a background in sales, marketing, or business development, ideally, but not essential, within the domain name, cybersecurity, or regulated digital services space.
· Proven experience in building, launching or scaling a digital business or function from concept to launch.
· A passion and enthusiasm for technology, data, and/or cyber security, coupled with a drive to stay updated on industry trends and advancements.
· A strong network of professional contacts within the digital services space, including with NIS-CER-DORA-DSM regulators or policy stakeholders and is comfortable navigating regulatory environments.
· Ability to travel across Ireland and EU (~20 %) – company car allowance or travel card provided.
· Ability to work on their own initiative in developing, maintaining, and reporting on their pipeline, sales revenue targets and key metrics using market leading CRM and other sales systems with a high quality of sales administration skills.
