The Opportunity
Cpl is working in partnership with our public sector client to appoint an experienced HR Advisor on a temporary contract (Up to 6 months) based in Lisburn HQ.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join this team supporting across a wide range of HR services.
About the role
As HR Advisor you will support the HR Manager in Resourcing & Employee Services to ensure the delivery of an effective support service to the HR Advisory Department.
Employee Services includes a wide range of support functions including but not limited to:
Terms and Conditions, HR Policies e.g. annual leave, Equality Monitoring, Recruitment and Selection, Maintaining HR systems, Attendance Management, Health and Wellbeing, Employee Relations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and manage the Employee Services Team (EST), ensuring effective delivery of HR support services and adherence to SOPs and statutory requirements.
- Oversee and enhance employee services processes, systems, and reports, including attendance management and HR metrics.
- Ensure staff training and development across all aspects of employee services, HR systems, and SOPs.
- Provide expert guidance and support to managers on employee service issues, including business cases, tenders, and invoices.
- Contribute to HR policy implementation and ensure compliance with financial, procurement, and legal regulations.
- Support recruitment and resourcing functions, including participation in recruitment activities and handling applicant-related correspondence.
- Coordinate responses to Freedom of Information/Data Protection requests and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay current with HR best practices, legislation, and organisational policies, contributing to projects and promoting values and reputation.
Experience & Qualifications required
Essential:
Either:
Possess a degree level qualification and have current professional membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) at Associate level (Assoc CIPD) or above and have at least two years’ experience of working in a HR function within a large complex organisation, multi-site, multi-disciplinary* to include:
· provision of employee services and production of HR statistics and reports.
OR:
Possess a degree level qualification and working towards achieving professional membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and have at least four years’ experience of working in a HR function within a large complex organisation, multi-site, multi-disciplinary* to include:
· provision of employee services and production of HR statistics and reports.
· Experience providing professional HR advice to managers on employee services issues and a sound understanding of current employment legislation.
Hourly pay rate: £19.11ph
