Our client is a large medical equipment supplier based in Cork and is currently expanding its team. They are seeking a full-time, permanent HR Generalist to join their Cork office. This role is fully onsite during the probation period, after which it will follow a hybrid model (2 days in the office, 3 days working from home). Applicants must have a valid Irish driver’s licence and be open to occasional travel.
Role Responsibilities:
- Support the HR Manager with strategic initiatives, including M&A integration and organisational design.
- Lead and implement HR initiatives across Irish operations.
- Coach line managers on performance management, employee engagement, issue resolution, and building leadership capability.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment and ensure candidates are a strong cultural and functional fit.
- Liaise with recruitment agencies and evaluate performance of preferred suppliers.
- Oversee a structured and engaging induction process for all new hires.
- Identify and coordinate training needs through quarterly business reviews and leadership input.
- Maintain training records and ensure compliance through the training matrix.
- Support succession planning and development of high-potential talent.
- Provide expert guidance on employee relations matters, including performance, absence, and disciplinary issues.
- Ensure all employment practices comply with Irish legislation (NI knowledge is an advantage).
- Champion employee engagement through surveys, feedback, and culture-building initiatives.
- Administer employee benefits and manage provider relationships in collaboration with brokers.
- Ensure salary and bonus structures align with internal frameworks and market trends.
- Maintain GDPR-compliant employee records and documentation.
Role Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a HR Generalist or similar role.
- Solid knowledge of Irish employment law (NI law knowledge an advantage).
- Degree or equivalent experience in HR or a related field.
- Proven experience handling ER cases, performance management, and manager support.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and influencing skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Self-starter with high integrity, adaptability, and discretion.
- Full Irish driving licence and willingness to travel between sites as needed.
