Our client, a fast-paced and innovative technology company, is seeking a skilled IT Manager to lead their technical support function. This is an excellent opportunity for someone from an MSP background who enjoys a hands-on role across a broad technical stack and is ready to step into a leadership position.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in networking, SQL Server, firewalls (Fortinet), virtualization (Hyper-V/VMware), and VoIP systems. Experience with security systems (CCTV, access control, etc.) is a distinct advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support a small IT team while remaining hands-on with technical delivery
- Provide L1/L2 support across networking, servers, and applications (onsite & remote)
- Administer Fortinet firewalls, VPNs, and network infrastructure
- Manage SQL Server environments and support VoIP/intercom systems
- Oversee virtualized environments (Hyper-V / VMware)
- Monitor system alerts, troubleshoot proactively, and drive continuous improvement
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience
- Maintain accurate documentation, timesheets, and job cards
Key Requirements
- 5+ years in IT support, ideally within an MSP environment
- Strong networking and SQL Server experience
- Solid understanding of Fortinet, Hyper-V/VMware, and VoIP systems
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Full, clean EU driver’s license
- Positive, can-do attitude with a customer-first approach
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Experience with security systems (CCTV, access control, etc.)
- Exposure to Microsoft 365 or Linux-based environments
