Your new role
I am thrilled to have partnered with a leading Cyber Security firm in Dublin to assist them find an experienced and motivated IT Field Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.
As a Field Engineer you will provide on-site technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring optimal IT performance for our clients based in Dublin. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and the flexibility to travel to different locations as needed.
What will you do?
· Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and networks at client locations.
· Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including connectivity, hardware failures, and software malfunctions.
· Provide support for IT infrastructure, including servers, printers, and mobile devices.
· Assist with network configuration, security settings, and system updates.
· Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on IT systems to ensure optimal performance.
· Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to resolve complex issues.
· Maintain detailed documentation of all service requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
· Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards for IT security and data protection.
· Travel to client sites as required, sometimes on short notice.
Experienced required?
· Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
· Proven experience in IT support, field engineering, or a related role.
· Strong knowledge of M365, Active Directory & Entra ID (AAD), Hardware & Software applications, server experience networking and troubleshooting methodologies.
· Familiarity with cloud platforms, VPNs, and remote desktop tools.
· Excellent problem-solving skills, strong customer service and communication skills.
· Valid clean driver's license and willingness to travel.
Nice to haves?
· Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals.
· Experience with IT asset management and ticketing systems.
· Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
