Junior Form Build Developer
Team background:
This role is within the Cloud, Platforms & Infrastructure (CPI) team. The overall responsibility of the CPI team is to ensure the upkeep of the organisations suite of sites, their form applications and a range of background services that support the sites. CPI is made up of a diverse group of people with wide ranging skills – back- and front-end developers, designers, QA, DevOps, and form building developers.
Job description:
This particular role is within the Digital Forms team within CPI. Form builds are managed through WordPress and, once you’ve completed training, you will work on building out a range of customer journeys - some simple, some complex – that ultimately enable our customers to access bank products and services digitally. The role involves a certain degree of logic problem solving and a very high level of attention to detail. The team is very collaborative and often share problems and solutions amongst themselves – supporting each other is a big part of being on the team, so there’s always someone there to help. It’s a fast paced, agile environment, where we work to tight deadlines and aim for regular, iterative releases across our products and services.
Responsibilities will include:
· Working through functional specifications to create digital application forms for both products and services
· Updating existing digital application forms as required
· Escalation of tickets to second level support, such as our development team, depending on the nature of the request
· Liaising with different departments during the life cycle of a build e.g. QA team, development, business units and business readiness teams, and our colleagues in other areas of the bank that handle form submissions.
· Participating in team and department meetings
· Working on ad hoc projects when required
Essential Key Requirements:
· Experience working in a website content publishing role / experience with a CMS
· Great attention to detail and good communication skills
· Good problem solver / logic skills
· Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
· Be able to work as part of a team and on your own, but in particular we want someone who is not afraid to use their own initiative
· Familiar with Excel
Desirable Key Requirements:
· Familiar with HTML and / or Markdown language
· Experience using a ticket system
