Cpl are supporting our global client in their search for an Ab Initio guru. We are looking for somebody with with expertise in building scalable, secure data solutions within the banking or financial sector. This is a hands-on technical role focused on developing robust data pipelines, real-time event-driven systems, and ensuring seamless integration across platforms. You’ll work closely with both technical and business teams to deliver reliable, compliant solutions in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy high-performance ETL pipelines using Ab Initio
- Develop and execute test plans for REST APIs and backend services
- Validate data accuracy and system performance using Teradata or similar databases
- Collaborate on mainframe integration and workflow automation using Zowe Explorer
- Build automation scripts to support data processing and quality checks
- Partner with cross-functional teams to define requirements and ensure successful solution delivery
- Prepare clear testing reports and escalate issues with actionable detail
Skills & Experience
- Proficient in Ab Initio, including Continuous Flows and related tools
- Solid hands-on experience with Kafka for real-time data streaming and event processing
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, with practical experience using Python (e.g., Requests library)
- Advanced SQL skills and experience with Teradata or comparable database platforms
- Familiarity with mainframe environments and related tools
- Confident using version control tools such as Git, GitHub, or Bitbucket/Stash
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills
