The company is a leading manufacturer and distributor of specialised iron, steel and composite access solutions in the Irish market. As part of the strategy to consolidate our position as market leader in Ireland, we are currently recruiting for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join the existing team permanently.
Requirements:
Qualifications – Level 8 Degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline
Experience working with composite/polymer materials is highly desirable but not essential.
Minimum 1-3 years industry experience.
Good IT, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
The role will be to support the engineering team to develop better and more efficient processes for the manufacture of our composite access products.
The main duties to be performed in the role include:
· Maintaining Health and Safety as the company priority in the workplace.
· Supporting production on technical issues.
· Working with maintenance department to troubleshoot technical problems with equipment and to improve operating efficiencies of plant equipment
· Investigating quality issues and identifying/correcting the root cause
· Delivering manufacturing reports to management
· Optimise workflow to reduce labour and material usage inefficiencies
· Ensuring good integration between manufacturing and company ERP systems
· Working with the R&D and design team to develop new products, mould designs and processes to meet our customers’ needs
