Occupational Health Advisor
Contract length – 15 months
Location - London
Rate - £35 - £40 p/h PAYE
One of our London based academic clients is looking for a dedicated, organised, Senior Occupational Health Advisor to join their team to help assess health risks and contribute to the policy, strategy and department goals relating to both the staff and students. This will include the assessment of laboratory workers, travel advice and health promotion activities. Ideal candidates will have excellent communication, time management and previous experience within occupational health.
Job Responsibilities:
· Undertake health surveillance and assessment of laboratory workers in relation to the requirements of their work or study.
· Undertake travel health risk assessment and give travel advice and immunisation to staff and students working/studying abroad.
· Undertake routine health assessments and immunisation for employees.
· Undertake pre-enrolment screening for professionally regulated students.
· Contribute to and implement health promotion activities.
· Contribute to the development and implementation of the OHW policy, strategy, and departmental goals.
Requirements:
· Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Registration
· Experience assessing health needs and planning/implementing effective strategies
· A good understanding of employment and health and safety law in the context of OH practice
