Person in Charge Waterford!
In partnership with our client, CPL HealthCare is now looking to a Person in Charge for residential disability services in Waterford.
Our client is a community-based service for people with severe/profound intellectual disabilities. Their services support children and adults with significant and complex additional needs. Working with families and the community, they support our service users to build their independence and resilience.
They offer residential care on a respite, shared and full-time basis depending on the needs of their service users, supported by day and community outreach services. They cater for the abilities and specific needs of those they care for to ensure they receive the best possible service.
Purpose of the role is to provide the highest possible standards of support to those who use our clients' service. The ideal candidate would preferably have experience working with autism. The Manager will act as the Person in Charge for existing services ensuring compliance with the Department of Health Regulations and HIQA Standards. Requirements:
· A professional degree (min level 7) in Social Care or relevant qualification, Qualification in Nursing is considered
· A minimum of 3 years in a management or supervisory role in the area of health or social care
· Level 6 Management qualification (this can be done once they start too so no major pressure, however it is preferred)
· A proven track record of managing a residential service which meets quality, regulatory/legislative requirements.
· Experience of report writing, personal support plans, people and roster management.
· Full current driving license with full eligibility to drive in Ireland, and access to a vehicle.
· Experience working with individuals with ID or Autism is essential.
