ROLE:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Planner to join our manufacturing team. This role is critical to ensuring production schedules align with demand forecasts, inventory levels, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience in planning and scheduling in a GMP-regulated environment and a strong understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on sales forecasts, inventory targets, and lead times.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, quality assurance, procurement, and warehouse teams to ensure on-time production and delivery.
- Monitor and adjust production plans to account for delays, equipment maintenance, or changes in demand.
- Ensure material availability for scheduled production runs by collaborating with procurement and inventory management teams.
- Analyze production data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to improve efficiency and reduce bottlenecks.
- Manage planning tools and ERP systems to maintain accurate and timely data.
- Support new product introductions (NPI) by integrating them into the production schedule.
- Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and regulatory compliance.
- Generate reports and present planning metrics to management.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of production planning or scheduling experience in a pharmaceutical environment.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards).
- Familiarity with GMP, FDA, and regulatory requirements in pharma manufacturing.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and planning software tools.
