Project Manager - eHealth
12 month Contract
€500-€600 per day
Purpose of the role:
The senior eHealth Project Manager will work within our clients eHealth Programme Delivery Team.
Overview of role:
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the planning and delivery of complex and/or large eHealth projects ensuring the correct governance is in place and lessons learned from previous projects are incorporated.
- Track project deliverables using the appropriate tools and techniques whilst taking responsibility for the quality assurance process of all deliverables against pre-defined product definitions and acceptance criteria, in line with the Project’s Quality Plans.
- Manage the Project's budget controlling the expenditures within tolerance and monitoring the costs against project deliverables.
- Liaise with the relevant Business Sponsor to facilitate the definition of the project scope, goals and deliverables and develop business case details to enable selection of options where appropriate.
- Develop and implement project management plans to ensure the success of the project while balancing and prioritising competing demands.
- Create and maintain communication strategies to in order to ensure effective and timely Communication with all stakeholders.
- Commitment to continuous professional development including completion of relevant internal training programmes available through our Centre for Learning & Development Prospectus.
- Manage effective teams and relationships with stakeholders.
- Lead project teams ensuring provision of direction and support to appointed staff to ensure project outcomes are achieved.
- Manage the risk, quality and progress of ICT projects to organisational standards, and ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, to quality standards, and within agreed scope.
- Promote a culture of dignity, respect and fairness and seek to eliminate all forms of discrimination
- Making decisions in relation to service delivery on a daily basis.
- Budget preparation and management of same.
- Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other departments and directorates.
- Continuously monitoring existing procedures to ensure they comply with best practice and the development of new/improved procedures where appropriate.
- Use all technology and equipment assigned and complete all essential training successfully
- To undertake any other duties of a similar level and responsibilities as may be required from time to time.
- Completion of relevant training and availing of supports in the Leadership Academy including coaching, mentoring and leadership development as applicable.
- Line management of the assigned eHealth Project Support Officer where applicable.
Qualifications & Experience required
Must have:
- Degree in relevant field
- Project management and delivery experience
- Practical and demonstrable experience of use of ICT systems / packages
- Fluent command and understanding of the English language to include spoken and written word.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Project Management Qualification
Desirable:
- Masters in a relevant field
- Experience in the Health Sector environment, pharmacy in particular.
- Supervisory / Management experience
