Quality - Lab Technician
Summary
As a Quality Lab Technician within Medtronic's Customer Quality Experience Management (CQXM) Returned Product Analysis (RPA) Lab, you will play a key role in the complaint handling and regulatory reporting of a wide range of medical devices. This position focuses on performing root cause investigations, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and contributing to product lifecycle activities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, external suppliers, and regulatory agencies to deliver high-quality solutions and continuous improvement across processes.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and conduct analysis, testing, and investigation of returned products related to customer complaints. Document and report on events to determine the root cause of issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams, regulatory agencies, and external suppliers to resolve customer complaints and engage in effective product lifecycle management.
- Perform laboratory duties, including instrument maintenance, calibration, and alignment checks. Contribute to the development of test procedures and non-routine analyses for complex investigations.
- Ensure all complaint investigations and corrective actions meet the reliability standards required by regulatory bodies. Support internal and external audits to maintain adherence to quality standards and regulations.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of operating systems and processes within the CQXM department to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Support the launch of new products in alignment with CQXM requirements.
- Assist in training new analysts and support their integration into the team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Requirements
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree (Level 8 NFQ) in a relevant technical discipline (e.g., Engineering, Science).
- Previous experience in a medical devices or related environment is desirable. Lab environment experience is a plus but not essential.
