Are you a qualified Plumber looking to apply your trade in a rewarding and secure environment? The Irish Prison Service, in partnership with Cpl, is recruiting Recruit Prison Officers (Trades) to support the maintenance and rehabilitation efforts within the prison system.

Your Responsibilities:

• Carry out plumbing installation, maintenance, and project works
• Complete statutory checks, repairs, and reporting to relevant standards
• Monitor plant and equipment, and maintain detailed maintenance records
• Supervise and engage with prisoners during maintenance tasks and daily routines
• Support prison operations, including security, safety, escorts, and structured rehabilitation activities

• A National Craft Certificate in Plumbing (or equivalent qualification)
• Minimum 2 years’ post-qualification experience
• Must be 18+ years old by 27th June 2025
• Strong communication, reliability, and commitment to public service
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
