Our client, a leading provider in the vehicle rental and mobility sector, is currently seeking a Returns Manager to oversee the return operations at Dublin Airport. This is a key leadership position within a high-volume, customer-facing environment, offering an exciting opportunity to drive operational performance and lead a dedicated team.
Role Overview
The Returns Manager will be responsible for the effective management of the vehicle return process across airport locations. The role involves hands-on leadership, cross-functional coordination, and a strong focus on delivering excellent customer service. The successful candidate will have a track record of managing teams in fast-paced operational settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the vehicle return process
- Manage and support a team of returns agents, ensuring high performance and adherence to company procedures
- Deliver an efficient and seamless customer experience, resolving any issues professionally and promptly
- Conduct and oversee vehicle inspections, reporting damages accurately and ensuring correct documentation
- Monitor operational KPIs and implement improvements where required
- Plan and adjust staffing levels based on business needs and return volumes
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and regulatory compliance
- Work collaboratively with other departments to optimise vehicle flow and depot operations
- Take ownership of escalated queries and follow up as needed
Candidate Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a supervisory or management role within vehicle rental, logistics, or a similar operational field
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
- Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities
- Technically proficient with Microsoft Excel and internal systems
- Self-motivated, hands-on, and capable of working independently in a high-pressure environment
- Strong attention to detail and focus on operational efficiency
- Full, clean driving licence is required
